a quick update...
yes. the rumors are true.
i'm leaving for HK on june 22!!
i just found out this morning from the travel agent that there's a seat on the JAL flight from Vancouver to HK via Narita. the main purpose for this trip is to bring my cousins to HK for my aunt. originally, she was planning to fly from HK to Vancouver on the 17th and bring my cousins to HK herself but she's been uber busy with her new business so she asked me if i can do her the favor.
BUT...here's the tricky part: how do i get a ticket on a fully booked flight? to make a long story short, ya de ya de ya da, a seat opened up this morning and i will be leaving for HK next Wednesday.
at first, i didn't think i would be able to get a ticket so i've been planning my summer sans the free trip to HK. but now that it's been confirmed, i'm sort of blown away by it because all of a sudden, i am left with a gazillion things to do and possibly not enough time to do it all. i'm also feeling kinda overwhelmed b/c i was not expecting to leave so soon! i'll definately use this opportunity to travel around Asia and if the Beijing University thing pulls thru, i'll be moving there in September to start my language program there.
so with this in mind, i don't really know when i'll be back to Vancouver which makes the whole thing kind of bittersweet for me. but alas, i am very excited about the prospect of this new opportunity and i just hope i'll be able to see as many of you as possible before i leave. i'll keep you guys updated as soon as i know all the details.
so get ready...for those who are currently in asia. i'll be mooching for a place to stay in your house really soon! :P

I got a job interview with UBC's APRO office in HK! Booyah!

Congrats on interview! If you have money flowing out of your pockets you can totally stop by Japan and stay with me. My place may be a mess as I pack to go home. It gets progressively busier but let me know. You would need to fly into fukuoka if you come =D Okies. Before I compose an essay for you to read, i better end off here! Safe travels!
