the next level...

contrary to what my sister believes...no, i have not fallen off the face of this earth. i've just taken a wee break from blogger until mid-dec when i'm in my eye-of-the-storm mode. things have been pretty hectic at work lately as i've been given (and taken) more responsibility than I can handle on a 24 hours-a-day basis. there's really two sides to my predicament. on the positive side, it's great being recognized by your superiors on the quality of work that i can deliver. on the negative side, being able to physically carry out each of the jobs well can be quite exhasting.

aside from my day job, i've got other things on my plate (ie: ubc alumni christmas dinner, 180 christmas dinner, 180 leadership etc) that requires my full attention and committment and trying to juggle all of that can be quite a challenge.

the reason why i am writing this blog is not to bitch or complain how my life sucks at the moment or how I am tired all the time blah blah blah cuz frankly, i have absolutely nothing to complain about. im healthy, im happy, im loved. honestly, what more could anyone ask for?

i remember back in july/august how easily i had allowed my work, my fears and my insecurities to consume my life and i ended up crashing and burning to the very end. that was a hard lesson for me to learn and i promised myself i wouldn't go thru that again...not by my own strength anyways.

and this time around, even tho it's more stressful, more responsibilities and more is on the line, i can't help but be reminded of this: "Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. "-Lamentations 3:22

how awesome is that? and to top it off, as i was preparing to take a breather from my work to update my blog, my colleague from my new chinese plus group (yes, i found christians at work!) send me this except from her devotion...

The One who meets our needs is fresh and new in His supply every day. He doesn't give us stale leftovers. His supply is precisely what we need in the moment we need it. Everything He gives us is fresh, new, alive, vibrant, powerful. We cannot awaken on any given morning and be without God's mercies and His compassion. Regardless of what we have done or said the day before,God is with us in a fresh new relationship every morning.

so am i ready to take it to the next level?

you bet i am.

see you back on cyberspace in dec!

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."
