valentine's day

Image hosting by Photobucketa happy belated valentines day everyone! i've never been big on this holiday but who says vdays are reserved only for couples? the world just doesn't celebrate being single enough. as i was going to work on tuesday, i saw SO MANY flower delivery people on the streets and in/outside mtr stations. it seems like it's 'the thing' to do here. i think hong kong is one of those few countries where they sell more flowers on valentine's day than mother's day.

[work.in.progress]

sadly, i've entered the age of a twenty-something where i get bombarded by questions from Chinese aunties, uncles and relatives about relationships and marriages. simma down now. i will let you know in due time.

it's funny cuz
180 is doing a whole series on relationships right now and i'm beginning to find out what i want, not necessarily in the opposite sex but rather what i want in myself for that special someone. in retrospect, whenever i look, i always tend to attract the wrong type of guys.

my friends know me best. i'm usually a pretty outgoing person but when it comes to guys i like, i am the complete opposite. i am very shy and very timid around guys i like. i put up this wall to protect myself and place this person on the highest pedestal i can find. the result:

a. i get dissapointed when he turns out to be a jerk or has a gf or

b. he thinks i'm not interested and i get frazzled and convince myself otherwise

why do i do this? i dunno.

but i'm going to put the focus back on myself from now on and build on what's really important in my life...spritually, mentally and physically.

you can't rush God's timing.

and i'm contend with that.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
